IX International Simuliidae Symposium 2020

Announcement from Boutaïna Belqat:   Dear colleagues,   I am very glad to organize the 9th International Simuliidae Symposium in Chefchaouen (Morocco) in 2020 presented by the University Abdelmalek Essaâdi, Faculty of Sciences of Tétouan.   Chefchaouen with its historical, environmental features, the hospital character of his inhabitants, and his big ecosystematic and specific diversity is improved to organize the 9th International Simuliidae Symposium.   Chefchaouen is a small Mountainous city located in the northwest of Morocco in about 50 km as the crow flies from the Mediterranean Sea and in 120 km from Tangier city and 65 km from Tétouan. At 600 m in altitude at the beginning of the of the Rif mountains, Chefchaouen, with a population of 43 000 inhabitants, registers in a country environment close to the National Park of Talassemtane and in front of the Natural Park of Bouhachem.   Chefchaouen is known for the striking, blue-washed buildings of its old town. The beauty of the mountain landscape of Chefchaouen is reinforced by the contrast of the lively colours of its old city.   Best regards and I hope to see all of you in Chefchaouen.
