PhD studentship opportunity

The Pirbright Institute and The University of Liverpool have an exciting PhD studentship opportunity to study the factors that drive outbreaks of midge-borne viruses in the UK. Through field and laboratory studies, the student will assist in understanding how factors such as genetics, temperature and co-infection with microorganisms inter-relate in determining susceptibility of Culicoides to infection with arboviruses.
