The application process for our final funding call is now open!

12 Jul 2019

We are excited to announce that the application process for our final round of Gnatwork funding is now open. Gnatwork members have voted on the project areas they wanted to receive funding. The results were very close, especially for the projects competing for third place, however the three areas that received the most votes are:

  1. Detecting pathogens in vector species
  2. Test a novel trap design against standard surveillance techniques
  3. Test a trap design against explicit estimates of biting rate

You can now apply to carry out these projects.

To apply for the Gnatwork Community Call projects, first visit the Community Call page to read the three project descriptions and select the project(s) you wish to apply for.

Each project has its own application form and the Gnatwork Management Team have provided the scientific basis of each of the projects. To apply for these projects, download the relevant application form from our website and complete the sections highlighted in yellow. Details on how to fill in each section are provided within the application form itself, however further information on applicant eligibility, the Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) compliance statement and requested resources are provided in our application guidelines. It is up to you to build a team with the expertise required to fulfil the project aims.

The closing date for applications is 13 September 2019, completed applications should be emailed as a PDF to enquiries [at] gnatwork [dot] ac [dot] uk (subject: Community%20Call%20Application) . Please ensure that you read the application guidelines to ensure that your project meets the required criteria.
