Travel bursaries are now open!

We are excited to announce that the travel bursary scheme for our first international workshop (Bangladesh on the 2 – 6 September 2018) is now open.

Travel bursaries can be applied for by either registered PhD students or early career researchers (defined as an individual with less than 5 years of relevant experience since completion of their highest degree). Applicants must be based in a country receiving official development assistance (a list of ODA receiving countries is available at https://www.oecd.org/dac/stats/daclist.htm

The first day of our week-long workshop will consist of a conference day of talks, consisting of lectures from experts on vector ecology and epidemiology. We will also hold a short workshop on this day to discuss the current issues affecting vector research.

Following this, we ware holding a four-day training course for early-career researchers, to teach practical laboratory and field skills for research on sandflies, blackflies and biting midges.
